We believe everyone knows Gmail. Most of us use it every day to receive and send emails. An ordinary program that allows us to contact the world and handle both private and corporate mail. Is that so? Gmail is not only a platform for sending emails and we will try to prove it to you. Today we will introduce you to the 3 useful Gmail features that you may need one day and that most people have no idea about. Perhaps your life will never be the same again. Are you ready?
This is one of the oldest and most useful Gmail feature that a lot of people remain oblivious to it. Just ask someone about it and see their face after you explain the trick. Type “before:2020/1/1″ into the Gmail search box to see all messages from before 2020, or “after:2020/1/1” to see messages from this year, or mix and match the two (change the dates as required and according to your needs). Who knows, maybe someday you’ll be looking for an email from a specific time frame and save a lot of scrolling with this feature?
Yes, indeed, you can take notes on Gmail and store them in a drafts folder. Why is that convenient and marked by us as a useful Gmail feature? Because you have the Gmail application with you, available on all devices. Just write a note, save it as a draft, you can even attach files to your drafts as well, and here it is… forever there in the draft folder, accessible anytime you want and need it. Also, you’ve got Gmail’s advanced search features to take advantage of too.
Canned responses is a useful Gmail feature, hidden in the “Advanced” settings menu on Gmail’s desktop interface. It allows you to send designed responses to common, frequently asked questions to many recipients at the same time. It helps you to save your time and effort. We discussed the topic of canned responses in detail in another post. You will also find there simple instructions on how to use them. So, not to prolong this post, come here.
Of course Gmail has many, many other great features. We wouldn’t fit everything in here. We’ve chosen for you the ones that may save your life one day. How’s that? Do you still think that Gmail is just a simple tool to receive and send emails?
